How to Install SQL Server Management Studio
SQL Server Management Studio is a tool or software which provides an interface to interact or connect SQL Server instance with local or where it installed on VPS, dedicated server or Cloud. This tool provide feature to access your databases, manage database, tables, queries, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures and many more feature which we will learn in other chapter of MS SQL Server tutorials. It also provides an option so you can monitor, configure and administer your SQL Server.
Step-1: Choose “Install SQL Server Management Tool” from below given screen and click on it to start the installation process. This will let you to download the tool from above given URL.
Step-2: When you will download tool, following screen will appear in your browser which will show download link with version for SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) which is 18.9.1
Step-3: You may right click on installation file “SSMS-Setup-ENU.EXE” and choose “Run as administrator” to avoid any security and permission issues to install SQL Server Management Studio successfully in your machine.
Step-4: The following screen will appear before installation process start. You may choose location where you want to install SEL Server Management Studio. You may choose different location by the help of Change button which will open folder selection dialog box and select location. Then click on Install button.
Step-5: The following screen will appear while installation process is going on. Wait for few minutes and it will finish installation for SQL Server Management Studio.
Step-6: Once installation process completed, following screen will appear with success message and option to restart your machine. It’s recommended that you should restart your machine to fully complete your installation.
